The Öhlins SD 001 is a universal steering damper with a 68 mm stroke that can be used on many current motorcycles. It's designed to increase rider control by reducing unwanted steering movements and wobbling, and to improve steering feedback and stability, which can reduce fatigue. The damper has a wide adjustment range and is available in six different lengths and strokes. It's mounted outside of the fork leg or across the frame behind the triple clamp, and can be adjusted in 16 well defined clicks. The damper uses pressurized fluid to avoid free play.
